The first two days were filled with listening to stories, writing about our summer, multiplication fact practice, math skills inventory, and cooperative group activities that focus on our 4 Classroom Rules:

1. Be Kind

2. Be Respectful

3. Be Responsible

4. Be Safe

This upcoming week:

ELA: 

• STAR testing and ELA benchmark ICA all week
• Building stamina while reading Good Fit Books

Math: 

• Multiplication Fact Practice
• Math Skills 
• Math Benchmark ICA-STAR Math

          

HOMEWORK: (Return blue homework folder every day)

1. This week, students will begin with reading for 20 min each night.  All 4 entries on the reading log must be filled out, signed, and will be checked on Friday. 

2. Additionally, students will work on a half-sheet of multiplication facts. It is to be completed at home and completed within 1 minute. If they don't finish all the problems in 1 minute, have them finish the remainder of the problems.

Reminders:

1. Drop off in the morning for 3rd grade is in the front of the school.

2. Parent volunteers in the class will not begin until Monday, Aug. 31st. 

3. AR testing will start on Monday.

8/11-Back to School Night CSC-There will be 2 sessions starting at 5:30 and 6:00 - I hope to see you all there!

8/24-1st-trimester electives, Success Academy begins
9/7-Labor Day - NO SCHOOL
