 THIS WEEK:

We will be completing the Interim Assessment Blocks (IAB) provided to us by the state for ELA this week. Please understand that these short IAB's assessments will be used to reassess any grades from the 1st trimester for mastery and grades on the report card for 1st trimester.  It will also help prepare them for the 2 weeks of state testing in May.

Also, please pack extra snacks so your child may snack during assessment time in class to refuel their brain. YAY!

Field trip information and specifics will be sent via email on Monday.  Please ensure your child wears a blue ILCS shirt on Wednesday and brings a sack lunch. 


AR Goals:  Students should be at 80% of their AR goal today.  The cut-off for trimester 1 is November 1st.  There are only 4 more weeks of the trimester.

We will be completing the Interim Assessment Blocks (IAB) provided to us by the state for MATH this week. These scores will be used to assess proficiency for standards-based grades on the report card for 1st trimester.  It will also help prepare them for the 2 weeks of state testing in May.

Also, please pack extra snacks so your child may snack during assessment time in class to refuel their brain. YAY!

AR CAMPOUT:  OCT. 31st

On Thursday morning from 8:00 until 9:35 students will get a reading campout in class. They are welcome to bring the following items:

  • Flashlight for reading
  • Blanket, small stuffy and pillow for comfort
  • Snacks from lunchpail

Field Trip Permission slips went home today in your child's homework folder. We will be taking a fun trip to the San Bernardino Performing Arts Theatre on Nov. 14th to see Charlie Brown's Christmas.  We are only taking 2 chaperones for this trip. The Theatre is not allowing parents to drive themselves and pay for their own ticket as they have only a certain number of seats allowed for our school and other schools that are attending the play that day.
