Team Urban,
Our class had a fun time exploring maps from a "bird's-eye view" by using Google Earth. From there, they made their own map of the class, school, or their own home on their weekly Social Studies newspaper.
This week, students will take their first Topic math test and another reading test.
Homework: Each week, your child should read for at least 80 minutes (20 minutes each night) and record the time in their reading log. The other nightly homework is math fact practice.

- Continue discussing how readers understand the characters' motivations and the effects of their actions, as well as how writers craft characters and portray the sequence of events in a story.
