Week 32

Team Urban,

A special thank you to our room mom, Mrs. Crandell, for assisting our CA. Street clean up.  Watch the highlight video for some great pics.  The students were highly engaged with the cleanup of our street and our community.  The care and concern at such a young age is what makes them future world changers!

Week 31 Highlights

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Audrey Vecchio.  She placed 2nd among the 3rd graders in the Spelling Bee last week!!

Service Projects:

All third grade service projects will be due on Tuesday, May 1st. Last Friday our team sent out all the details regarding the project requirements. Our YAPS penny war fundraiser is in full swing. Thank you for your awesome support! Our YAPS Read-A-Thon will take place the week of May 21st.

SBACC:

SBACC (state testing) will begin the week of May 7th and continue through May 18th. Please plan all doctor and/or dentist appointments for after the school day and please be on time for school.  I will hold morning tutoring every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:25am - 7:55am. For those of you who want your kiddos to practice, but cannot get them to tutoring, I put the SBACC practice assessment link to the right under the links section for students to practice at home.

During our testing weeks please send your kiddo with extra snacks. Research shows that kiddos who are chewing do better on assessments. Also, be sure your kiddo gets plenty of sleep and a good breakfast. Thank you so much for the parents who have signed up for testing snacks in the Parent Square email sent out by Mrs. Crandell.  Many of the non-perishable items have begun trickling into the class.  THANK YOU!!
