1. Compare and contrast Deep Down and City Homes. Begin reading The Song of Sky and Sand. We will continue to discuss how photographs, illustrations, and details help readers understand text, and how writers compare and contrast information and ideas.
2. Conventions: verbs
3. Spelling: suffixes
4. Writing: compare and contrast
Math
Continue Topic #11 and assess on Topic #11- Use operations with whole numbers to solve problems.
Continue our Fact Master multiplication tests. It is imperative students study and complete these at home nightly for a few minutes for successful mastery of their multiplication facts.
Homework
Please remind your kiddo to write the date in their Reading Log and turn in their math fact practice each day. I remind the kiddos of this weekly, and I am still seeing Reading Logs that are missing a date, not complete, and math fact papers that are not turned in daily. Please know that for each missing homework assignment your kiddo pays a fine of $50 and work is completed at recess.
Due every day: -Reading 20 minutes (put on reading log date and sign)

Due on Friday: -Writing assigned and submitted through Moby Max and Reading Log
