Our Safari Park Field Trip is coming up quickly! 
Please take a few minutes to read this entire post, as there is some important information regarding transportation and chaperones.
Transportation Information
Our goal is to have ONE bus for our field trip. Bus costs are extremely high, so we are trying our best to keep the cost down by taking only one bus.
A half-sheet of paper will be attached to your child’s permission slip today. Please indicate whether your child will:
- Ride the bus to and from the Safari Park, OR
Be driven to and from the Safari Park by their parent/guardian
This information is very important and will help us determine whether one bus will be sufficient for our trip.
If you do not purchase a chaperone ticket but would still like to drive your child to the Safari Park (for example, if you would like to bring younger or older siblings), you are welcome to drive your child.
Chaperone Information
If you are interested in being a chaperone for our Safari Park Field Trip, please read all of the following information before purchasing a ticket:
Chaperone tickets are $20. By purchasing a chaperone ticket, you are committing to supervising a small group of students throughout the field trip.
At this time, each family may purchase ONE chaperone ticket. As we get closer to the trip, additional tickets may become available if space allows.
ALL CHAPERONES MUST DRIVE THEMSELVES AND THEIR OWN CHILD. Only teachers and students will be riding the bus.
For safety reasons, chaperones may not drive other students unless the student’s parent/guardian is in the same vehicle or the chaperone is listed on that student’s emergency release card.
If you purchase a chaperone ticket, we ask that younger or older siblings not attend. This allows chaperones to give their full attention to the students they are responsible for.
Chaperone Ticket: If you secure a chaperone ticket below, please turn in $20 CASH to your child’s teacher by Friday, September 18th. If your payment is not received by then, we will open your spot to another parent.
