Team Urban,
State Testing will begin the week of May 6th and continue to May 17th. Please try to plan all appointments for after the school day and please be on time for school. Additionally, I am opening up the classroom for state test prep. It will be every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7:30am - 7:55am. The SBACC prep is optional but highly recommended for all students. For those of you who want your kiddos to practice, but may be unable to attend, I have put the link on the sidebar to the right on this website.
This last week we had a great turnout for test prep mornings. I appreciate all of your hard work getting your kiddos to school earlier than normal as I know myself mornings can be difficult at times. Thank you!
Service Projects:
All third-grade service projects will be due on Friday, May 3rd.
As a part of our school-wide global impact, ILCS is partnering up with Convergence International to help build and support a school in Ghana, Africa. Many of you may know that BSC has had partnership with the Ofoace School in Ghana the past few years. This Read-A-Thon is to raise funds for that school. The Read-A-Thon will be NEXT week, April 8-12. Students will read as much as possible during this week, record how many hours spent reading, collect pledges from family and friends, and return all of this to school on Friday, April 19th.
