Team Urban,
Our kindness elf, named Pablo, arrived from the North Pole this week! He brought a lot of excitement to our class on Friday and I cannot wait to see what he has in store for the kiddos in the coming weeks.
On Friday, I sent home the November Assessment Log and their math and ELA IAB results. Please sign the assessment log and return it as soon as possible. You do not have to return the IAB results. Remember, the IAB results will not appear on report cards however, they are an indicator of where your child stands right now within those standards on similar questions on state testing. Please know that all IAB material assessed will continue to be taught until state testing in May.
Grandparent’s Day and the Winter Program are right around the corner. We will be performing Frosty the Snowman and Happy Holidays. Mrs. Solano, our Spanish teacher, has also organized a Spanish performance of El Burrito Sabanero. Additionally, we are requesting that your child wear a nice Christmas themed outfit for both performances, no Santa hats please.
Class Market is also right around the corner. We will be using our class cash to purchase items. I encourage all kiddos to create items to sell. Anything Christmas themed would be great too. Be creative and have fun!
