Week of Dec. 12th

Greetings Families,

Oh my, it is the last week of 3rd grade in 2016!  This will be my last post for the year. I look forward to the growth all these kiddos will show in the upcoming trimesters, as they continue to grow and mature in many ways.  Thank you all for your support so far for this year.  I appreciate every bit of help and support.  Let's finish the year strong in 2017!

Homework: reading logs and multiplication fact practice only.  NO SPELLING OR WRITING
Please remember to have students fill out reading logs and sign them.  Many students had incomplete reading logs this past week.  Nov. and Dec. are the easiest months to receive a free homework pass.

Grandparent's Day: Tomorrow at  10:00am in the Lions' Den.
Christmas Concert: Tomorrow at 5:30pm at YCC.
Christmas Party: Friday, December 16th in class. Kiddos are welcome to dress in holiday sweaters and festive outfits, but please no pajamas.

Friday, at 11:30, we will be watching the holiday animated movie, Saving Santa. It's rated G, and is about a group of elves who save Santa. We will also be having hot cocoa, decorating a sugar cookie, and eating popcorn. Please let me know if you don't want your kiddo having the above mentioned snacks or watching the movie.

We are taking a Unit 3 ELA assessment this week on Wed. and Thursday.

Dates to Remember:
December 14th Angel Tree Presents DUE
December 16th Class Holiday Party and Movie at 11:30

Lovingly, Mrs. Urban
