The expectation for each student in 3rd grade is to complete 8 hours of community service throughout the year. By the end of the school year in May, students will present their service projects to their classmates and be evaluated by the rubric provided below. Some examples of community service are:
-Food bank service
-Trash pick up
-Recycling cans/bottles and donating money received from recycling
-Serving time at an organization or church
-Writing letters to the Military
-Baking goodies for First Responders/Military
-Collecting needed items for local charities
