First two days of school!

Team Urban,

The first 2 days were a success!  I must tell you how much I enjoy working with this class already.  They are respectful, kind, help others, and willing to take on challenges making my job even more Ahh-MAZING! 

This week they will have a jam-packed fun assembly Monday morning for house assignments. Please make sure they wear their colored house shirt every Tuesday, if possible. 

Thank you to those parents who have sent in supplies from the class list or the class wish list.  It is truly appreciated! Some students are still in need of crayons or markers.  If you are able to send these in that would be helpful! We also have a personal request for a donation of girls backpack. If you are able to to fill this request, please send it in to class as soon as possible.

I still need a few things from you, the parents.  Please send in ASAP any of the following items if you have not done so yet.

• Getting To Know You paper (sent home in mail over summer)
• Meet the Student paper (sent home in mail over summer)

This upcoming week:

ELA: STAR testing and ELA ICA Benchmark all week

Math: Multiplication Fact Practice in class

          Math ICA and Performance Task Benchmark

          

HOMEWORK: (Black homework folder will go home Monday and due back to school every day)

1.Students have reading for 20 min each night.  All 4 entries on the reading log must be filled out and signed and turned in on Friday. 

2. Fact practice paper of multiplication facts.  Students must practice their facts and complete the 40 problem half sheet and turn it in the next day.

Dates to Remember:

8/15-Back to School Night CSC-There will be 2 sessions starting at 5:30. The second session will be at 6:00. - I hope to see you all there!
8/28-1st-trimester electives, second session, success academy begins
9/4-No school-Labor Day
