I hope you all had a restful and fun break. I know it was much needed for all!
As we return to school for the last 9 1/2 weeks, there will several activities and testing dates. This is the first year students will be taking the state test in 3rd grade. Students will be taking the ELA/Math tests during the following two weeks in May. PLEASE make sure to not schedule any appointments during the school day for these two weeks. If they miss, they will be pulled out of class to make up any portion of the test and typically, those test results are not as good as being taken in the class.
- ELA and Performance task: May 9th-13th
- Math and Performance task: May 16th-20th
This week:
ELA:
- Compare and Contrast Fiction and Non-fiction
- Writing using compare and contrast language
- No Spelling Words
Math:
- Begin Topic 13 Equivalent Fractions
- Test April 20th
Important Reminders:
- Community Service Project Due May 2nd. Students will present their projects in class over the course of the week.
- Father Daughter Dance tickets go on sale 4/6/22
