Team Urban,
This second full week students really stretched their brains learning new ways to show multiplication such as equal groups, arrays, number lines, and commutative property of multiplication. In ELA students continued restating a question with an answer, mapping out the sequence of events with transitional phrases, all while having a growth mindset.
This week:
ELA:
Reading: Case of the Gasping Garbage (See link below)
- Determine main idea and supporting details
- Character analysis
- Point of View (1st person, 2nd person, and 3rd person)
- Verbs
- Spelling: Suffixes -ing, -ed, -er, -est (see below)
Math:
- Finish Topic 1:Multiplication and Division of Whole Numbers
- Posttest Topic 1 (Sept. 3)
Homework:
-Read 20 min each night and sign reading log (due every Friday)
