Update: School closed on Tuesday, Sept. 8th due to fires.
I'm sure, by now, you've heard the wonderful news that many of us will be returning to campus the week of September 14th! If you have not yet filled out the mandatory survey about your choice in returning to campus, please do so as soon as possible! I'm so excited for our classroom to be full of the shining faces of the students!
This week we looked over:
- The Case of the Gasping Garbage (Ch 1-7); Point of View, Figurative Language, Main Idea and Supporting Details
- Vocabulary: affirmative, stumped, observation, swamped
- Spelling: Suffixes, -est, -er, -ing, -ed
- Fluency
- Math Topic 1 Assessment (scoring 70% or higher shows a basic understanding of concepts)
This upcoming week, we will focus on:
- The Case of the Gasping Garbage (Ch 8 and Assessment), Quotations
- Math Topic 4: Use Multiplication to Divide
- Expectations for IN CLASS return to school model
AR Goal
Students are expected to be at 20% of their AR goal by today! Please go over your child's progress with them, and help keep them accountable in meeting their goal!
