May 18th-22nd

Hello Third Grade Families,
Below are the assignments for the week of May 18th - May 22nd. Students will be taking ELA IAB Assessments this week in Zoom. Students should show up to Zoom by 10:45 to log in and be ready to begin by 11:00. See the link below on how to log in to IAB’s.
Before the Covid-19 school closure, some of our students completed their community service projects. We would like to give them an opportunity to present them. This is completely optional. Your child does not have to participate. If your child chooses not to participate, it won't affect his/her grade at all.
That said, if your kiddo did make a project, and would like to present, please join us on Tuesday, May 26th, at 11am in Mrs. Perry's zoom. Please make sure to fill out the Community Service form by May 22nd. 
We're excited to see the incredible leadership and community pride that our students have been completing during these uncertain times. Great job!

Important Information:
  1. COME TO ZOOM EACH DAY READY TO TAKE IABs! Make sure you have your SSID number, pencils, scratch paper, and an appropriate work environment. Any questions regarding the login process need to be addressed PRIOR to 10:45am. The IAB link will be in Google Classroom. 


Reminders:
  1. Spelling and vocabulary can be practiced through Pearson Games that have been assigned to all students. 
  2. Google Classroom assignments are posted the day prior.

  • ELA Baseline Benchmark (questions 1-9) (Pearson) 
  • IAB will be taken in ZOOM (RL)
Tuesday, May 19, 2020 
  • Read 30 minutes
  • Math Magician (5 full rounds- 5 minutes)
  • ELA Baseline Benchmark (questions 10-19) Make sure you create a Thinking Map starting with question 13 on scratch paper! (Pearson) 
  • IAB will be taken in Zoom (Language and Vocabulary) 
Wednesday, May 20, 2020 
  • Read 30 minutes
  • Math Magician (5 full rounds- 5 minutes)
  • ELA Baseline Benchmark (questions 20-30) Make sure you create a Thinking Map on scratch paper! (Pearson)
  • IAB will be taken in Zoom (RI)
Thursday, May 21, 2020 
  • Read 30 minutes
  • Math Magician (5 full rounds- 5 minutes)
  • ELA Baseline Benchmark (questions 31-33) Make sure you create a Thinking Map on scratch paper!(Pearson)
  • IAB will be taken in ZOOM (Listening)


Friday, May 22, 2020 

  • Read 30 minutes
  • Math Magician (5 full rounds- 5 minutes)
  • ELA Baseline Benchmark should be FINISHED
  • IAB will be taken in ZOOM (Revising)
