3rd-trimester Awards Assembly was today. Here are the perfect attendance, running club, and ROAR winners.

Teach the Class: This is a new 15 minute time period after recess on Fridays for students to teach the class something they can do well. For example, make origami, teach a phrase in second language, how to draw something, a dance, etc. I told the class it should not cost anything and it is not show and tell. It is a time for them to get to be the teacher for 15 min. A signup list is on Google Classroom. Some students may pair up if they wish since there are not enough Fridays left for all students.
Service Projects DUE MAY 1st
Please remember that ILCS is a leadership school and service is something we value greatly. Your kiddo is required to complete a service project and 8 hours of service. Their projects are due May 1st and students will begin presenting the following week in class.
STATE TEST PREP SESSIONS
I will be holding morning test prep sessions beginning April 7th, every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7:20-8:00, to help prepare the students for the state test starting in May. I highly recommend the morning sessions for each student in the class. Students are welcome to eat their breakfast in class as we go over sample test problems for the test. I hope to see all the students attend as many mornings as possible.
