Learning at home for week of March 16-20th

Third Grade Families,

Due to these unfortunate circumstances, 3rd grade will be continuing instruction and assignments online. If you are unable to receive access to the internet, please contact the school immediately for support. Regardless of our closure, it is the desire of ILCS that your child’s academic progress continues. Therefore, students are generally expected to be actively engaged in their learning for 6 hours of the “school” day-- 3 hours dedicated to ELA, and 3 hours dedicated to mathematics. 

Below are the assignments for the week of March 16th-20th. Teachers will be monitoring these regularly with the expectation that they will be turned in by 3:00pm daily. Teachers will be making contact with parents if the assignments are not turned in each day. All third grade teachers will be available for questions and support each day M-F, 8-3pm. Pacers, please be in contact with your pacing teacher for specific instruction.

All ELA assignments will be located in Google Classroom and AR. All required math work can be found on Pearson. You must log into these sites from the ILCS Links Page. 

Monday, March 16th, 2020

• Read 30 minutes (logged in reading log)
• 1 Google Classroom article with 2 RACE responses
• Math Lesson 15-1

  • First: Visual Learning Video 15-1
  • Second: Practice Buddy 15-1 (ideally, students should be receiving 80% or above)
  • Third: Quick Check 15-1 (ideally, students should be receiving 80% or above)

Tuesday, March 17th, 2020

• 1 Google Classroom article with 2 RACE responses
• Math Lesson 15-2

Friday, March 20th, 2020

• Read 30 minutes (logged in reading log)
• 1 Google Classroom article with 2 RACE responses
• End of Math Topic 15 Assessment (Mastery is 70% or higher- if students receive less than 70%, please have them work out incorrectly answered problems on a piece of blank paper. Please turn this paper in to your teacher when school resumes again)
